The Founder - Darren Banks

LaDarren “D. Banks” Banks was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. D. Banks joined the United States Air Force in 2008. While stationed in South Korea at the Kunsan Air Base in 2010, D. Banks learned how to play Texas Holdem. After hard work and dedication to his new hobby, D. Banks found great success. When D. Banks realized he was earning more than three times his military paycheck, he consulted with his father, Sherwin Prior. It was then when D. Banks and his father concluded that he should pursue a professional career as a poker player under certain circumstances. D. Banks’ and his father agreed that he would only pursue a profession in poker if he acquired a college degree. In May of 2016, D. Banks graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in business concentrating in marketing and finance. Since graduating, D. Banks has been specializing in Pot Limit Omaha cash games and has traveled all over the United States to challenging the world’s best players.
